Additionally, Chiropractic has a long track record of successfully treating sprains and strains to all joints, dizziness, arthritis, scoliosis, sciatica, auto injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and much more. In addition to providing safe, effective, pain relief, Chiropractic is a major part of individual and family wellness. Several scientific studies have shown that when patients are involved in Chiropractic Wellness care, they show overall improved health including less money spent on health care, decreased use of cigarettes and over the counter drugs (1-3)

Chiropractic for Pets

Dr. Smith is now treating other (non-human) animals with his gentle and effective chiropractic bodywork! Mostly dogs and cats, but all vertebrates are welcome! Dr. Smith has successfully treated several dogs and cats for painful, arthritic joints, misaligned pelvis, as well as sprains & strains. Dr. Smith is working along with veterinarian Dr. Raffy Dorian from Central Coast Veterinary Services. Treatments will consist of a veterinary examination by Dr. Dorian, followed by a chiropractic treatment upon Dr. Dorian's referral. And just like his human patients, Dr. Smith will treat all joints, head to toe if indicated.


The doctor and his certified massage assistants use multiple massage techniques that help muscles relax, dispel toxins, and return to normal length and function. This greatly assists the Chiropractic adjustment, helping to create a clean and easy adjustment that is more likely to hold longer.

Nutrition, Supplements & Herbal Therapy

In addition to the physical care mentioned above, the doctor may recommend specific nutrition, supplements and herbal medicines to help the cells of your body heal faster, become more resilient to stresses and increase your levels of health.

Exercise Therapy

The human body is evolved to move. Our sedentary lifestyle has a similar effect on our overall health as smoking does. Once we can restore healthy alignment and motion, we practice moving in a coordinated way, to become healthier, stronger, more stable, and less likely to re-injure ourselves.

Cranio Sacral Therapy

Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, light touch therapy that detects and corrects restrictions in the cranial joints, sacrum and ligaments surrounding the brain and spinal cord. CST may be very helpful in treating migraines and other headaches, fibromyalgia, stress, Temperomandibular Dysfunction, and many other conditions.

Mind-Body Therapies

More and more studies are showing how there is absolutely no separation between our minds and our bodies. Not only are they intimately interconnected, but they are constantly communicating and influencing the function of the other. In order to create a holistic approach to health, we cannot afford to ignore one in favor of the other. As we integrate these different aspects of ourselves, we clearly see how healing one helps to heal the other and vise versa.

Weight Loss, Cleansing, Detoxification & Lifestyle Coaching

Most of us are carrying around more weight than we need. In addition to adding stress to our joints, this also adds an unnecessary burden to our organs, and especially our heart (cardiovascular system) and lungs. In addition to this burden of excess fat, we all live in an environment of increasing toxic stress. Since our bodies have not been exposed to these tens of thousands of chemicals for the vast majority of human and animal history, our bodies have trouble detoxifying themselves. This is an added stress to all systems of the Mind-Body that when consistently removed, allows the body to repair, regenerate and function extremely well. Integrating these healthy changes into our lives and maintaining them in the long term is one of the greatest challenges we face when trying to maintain or create healthy lifestyles. This is where coaching and working with community groups is extremely helpful to show us where our blind spots are, and what is really preventing us from creating healthy habits.
